In its ninth version, the International Festival of Experimental Video – Error Process will be held from August 19 to 24 in Seoul – South Korea.

Chile as a guest country and from a different path from the competition of the film industry, arrives in South Korea with part of the catalog of the International Experimental Video Festival Process of Error, organized by INVE Experimental Art Platform, and that this year in its ninth version will exhibit works by Chilean directors at the Seoul International New Media Festival (NeMaf).

Since its inception, Proceso de Error has been a festival that encourages research, production and dissemination of experimental video at an international and national level, seeking to give new spaces to creation without necessarily respecting the framework of the audiovisual format. According to its director Daniela Lillo “In these years we have been looking at the cinema from its expansive center in support and form, Process of Error presents us with indomitable, curious, abject, painful, ancestral, open, questioning, critical works; all as the various faces of the mystery of cinema”.

In this sense, during NeMaf a posthumous selection of three works by the Chilean director Gloría Camiruaga will be screened, which experiment with the format between memory, politics and dissidence, a recognition of the career of who was considered one of the pioneers of video art in South America. On the other hand, in the "Contemporary Chilean Experimental" category, three young filmmakers who abstract the intimate and public environment of the country will be exhibited.

The works are "Learn to build Houses, Sketch 1", by the filmmaker Carolina Moscoso and "Notes to zoom", by the filmmakers Luciana Merino and Pascal Viveros. Both works that are presented have been made especially for the festival, as footnotes of the feature films that the directors are developing.

Process of Error will also exhibit a sample of international works, proposing to the audience a journey between humanity, cement and earth as part of an eternally dislocated whole. Stands out in this exhibition the work "Hypa" by Natalia Cabrera "work in gallery" of virtual reality, which tells us about the utopia of the Interspecies.

To see this year's Error Process selection, the festival's organization is working on enabling a digital channel that will be available to all interested parties from this August 15 on the INVE site www.inve.cl
