Proceso de Error presente en Muestra de Nueva York “Cosmic Unity” con obras chilenas experimentales

Within the curatorial project “Cosmic Unity“, by the video artist and curator Julieta Triangular (Bogotá-Valparaíso) by Celestial Twins, exhibition that will be held between January 5 and 9, 2017 in the gallery of Flux Factory, Long Island City, New York, in the mythical neighborhood of Queens, a historically politicized place, the cradle of graffiti and which is currently in turmoil due to the last US elections. Flux Factory is a space that seeks to support and promote emerging artists through residencies, exhibitions and generating collaboration opportunities; build artistic networks in a sustainable way; as well as help maintain creative partnerships in New York City. In the place, A selection of works that have participated in previous years of Proceso de Error, International Festival of Experimental Video, will be exhibited.

The "Cosmic Unity" project works its curatorship in opposition to white supremacy, homophobia, hatred and political aggression, the Latin American counterculture invites to join in positive subversion, celebrating the exploration of the body and emancipation; the transgression of sexual fictions of identity; new meanings and transfer of consciousness in a space of differences and symbolic language. “Cosmic Unity” explores a trans-subjective connection to ancient cultures through psychotherapy, visual art, immersive experimental filmmaking, photography, sculpture, performance, and poetry.s The works embody a fluid continuity with natural entities and cosmic energies. Post-colonial nations and marginalized identities come together in a cosmic love to penetrate the night and the Western phallic fabric of reality. “Cosmic Unity” includes works by 22 artist-healers from Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil and the United States in search of a new spirituality.s

The Error Process sample for the exhibition in New York has been curated by Daniela Lillo Olivares (Director and Programmer) and Pablo Molina Guerrero (Co-Programmer) under the premise of creating a limited range of what happens in Chile with the experimentation in audiovisual forms: Metamorphosed bodies, formats and images, from themes related to personal and audiovisual memory, to the materiality of animation or analog video formats and bodies in their splendor and decadence, the show closes with a record of a performance by one of Chile's most successful underground writers, Pedro Lemebel and his protesting dissidences.
