6th LAB PDE 2019

LAB Error Process, is a creation laboratory that gives space to filmmakers to make and/or finish an experimental video piece in 6 days (between September 24 and 29) in order to be premiered at the opening of the Festival Proceso de Error on September 30, 2019. Within an atmosphere of mutual support and accompanied by the Chilean director Roberto Collío as a tutor, embraced by the empowering energy of the Colliguay Valley, located in the heart of the coastal mountain range, Valparaíso Region, Chile.

ADRIANA LÓPEZ GARIBAY

Adriana López Garibay, graduated from the Master's Degree in "Alternative Cinema" 2018 at the International Film and TV School (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. “Muerte al Dogma” is a dance video directed by her and that has been exhibited at the 23rd International Festival of Dance in Urban Landscapes; and in the Department of Film and Media at the University of Utah by Szepreling. His short film "Metamorfosis" was part of the Vanguard section of the "International Festival of New Latin American Cinema" 2018, "Pleasure Dome" 2019, "Designed Reminiscence Vol.2" in 2019 and in an experimental cycle at Villa Olímpica in Ciudad de Mexico 2019.

HERNÁN ARIEL RODRÍGUEZ DINAMARCA

Visual Artist UNIACC, Master © in Documentary Film U. de Chile. He has exhibited collectively at CCU Art Gallery (2014), Viva Mall Plaza Norte Library (2016). In 2017 he writes, directs and produces the short film “Un Viento”, winner of the Latin American competition of the FEDAXV Experimental Audiovisual Design Festival of Valdivia (2018), Official Selection of the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions April, United Kingdom (2019), Official Selection of the Best of Latin America Short Film Festival organized by TvCortos, United States (2019).

MARCOS NATH

I began my journey in the performing arts (Theater and Contemporary Dance), then moving on to the audiovisual arts. I studied part of the Film (Audiovisual Arts) degree at the National University of La Plata, Argentina, and I have a degree in Art Direction from the Universidad Mayor, Chile. Currently my audiovisual work is oriented towards experimentation in video art / video documentary, in self-production mode, emphasizing the co-creative recording of Performance actions and collaboration and mediation with visual artists, having recorded works by various artists at festivals. , exhibitions and biennials of Art and Performance in Chile.

MAYRA VILLAVICENCIO PRÍNCIPE

Audiovisual producer and researcher based in the city of Lima, Peru. For some years I have started to be especially interested in non-fiction cinema which led me to participate as a production assistant in non-fiction films. In 2017 she participated as a producer in a sensory documentary project that was the winner of the Peruvian Competition of the Lima Independent Film Festival. My research interests revolve around issues of memory, political violence, post-armed conflict, and gender. Currently, I am part of the production team of ElGalpon.Transcinema, an alternative movie theater project based in Lima. Likewise, I am carrying out a photographic and audiovisual project around my family archive, which I want to investigate on issues of motherhood and gender roles.

VICTORIA MARÉCHAL

He was born in Geneva (1988). After having studied sociology in Geneva and Madrid, he went to live in Buenos Aires to study cinema. She graduated from the University of Cinema in film direction, she participated in different residencies and clinics such as the Di Tella Film Program and the residency of the Biennial of Moving Image. Most of her artistic production is developed in the area of video and video installation. Several of her projects experiment with the found footage technique and pose questions and considerations in relation to the issues of migration, translation and representation. Her work was shown at various international festivals and exhibitions in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Switzerland, France and Egypt.

MACARENA ASTETE FERNÁNDEZ

Macarena Astete comes from the Physical theater; Her first professional creation was the play “Micromundo”, a sensory play that she experimented with the techniques of Puppet Theater and Black Theater. Her subsequent performance as an actress is mainly as a teacher in foundations, colleges and universities, directing and writing more than 10 theatrical shorts. She is currently a graduate of the UACH Film Degree. In addition to studying animation at the Escuela de Animadores de Rosario, she has written and directed different fiction and documentary short films, video-art, video-dance and video-clips, always interweaving an aesthetic search. where visuality takes on paramount importance.

NICOLÁS TABILO (Agreement through Frontera-Sur LAB)

Director in Film and Television from the University of Chile. He has worked as a director, producer and editor. In 2013 he co-made the micro documentary "VALPARAÍSO, MI CIUDAD" awarded by the CMN and UNESCO. In 2015 he directed “AGUAS ABAJO” Best Chilean Short Film BIOBIO CINE 2016. Since 2017 he was the editor of “HISTORIA DE MI NOMBRE” (2019) Special Mention of the Jury at the Rotterdam Festival. He is currently developing “IMÁGENES A LA DERIVA” his first film as director and screenwriter, selected in FRONTERA SUR LAB, FIDBA DOCLAB and DOCUMENTARY CAMPUS.

JORGE CHAMACO DONOSO (Agreement through Antofacine and its residence Looking at the Territory)

Born in Arica (Chile) on April 11, 1976. He studied Audiovisual Communication and Photography Direction (Argentina) and Engineering (Chile). He has developed audiovisual projects (fiction and documentary), photography and research, both in Chile and abroad. With experience in direction of photography, lighting and post-production. In addition, he has led pioneering exercises at the national level in the development of content in Stereoscopic 3D. In his audiovisual work, he has been a constant, the application of his technical knowledge acquired in engineering, constantly generating added value in the development and experimentation of his audiovisual activity.

ABOUT THE GUARDIAN:

ROBERTO COLLÍO

Graduated from the Comprehensive Film and Television Production course at the Cinematographic Research Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2014 he premiered his first short film “Muerta Blanca” in the Pardi di domani competition of the Locarno International Film Festival where he received the jury's special mention. The short film then made a wide festival circuit where it garnered various awards such as the Golden Dove at the German festival DOK Leipzig for best animated documentary and the Crystal Globe for best documentary short film at the Karlovy Vary Festival in the Czech Republic.

In 2017, together with Matías Illanes and Naomi Orellana, he founded the CEIS 8 experimental film collective in analog formats, with which they teach and coordinate different filming and craft development workshops, as well as samples and performances in super 8mm and 16mm. This same year he joins the programming team of the Santiago documentary festival, Fidocs, where he is in charge of curating the non-competitive exhibition Monsieur Guillaume.

In 2018 he premiered his first feature film co-directed with Rodrigo Robledo "Petit Frère" in the Burning Lights section of the Visions du Reel Festival. In 2019 she begins to collaborate with the documentary theater company La Laura Palmer, where she is in charge of composing original music and the multimedia design of the works "Amanecerá con rubble sobre el piso" and "Invisible Animals".
